Turkey Burger with Honey Lemon dressed Alfalfa Sprouts
It is always a big dilemma for me as to what food to prepare for my family, something that would be one delicious, two nutritious and three easy to make. My family loves turkey meat but not so much ground turkey. If you cook it like regular beef burger it does not have as good a flavor as beef has unless you enhance the turkey flavor with tasty sauce. Alfalfa sprouts are great source of proteins and minerals and I decided to combine my turkey burger with a honey lemon dressing mixed into the Alfalfa sprouts. Surprisingly it tasted very good! This recipe will be defiantly a keeper in my recipe book.
• 4 turkey burgers patty
• 4 hamburger buns (optional)
• Pink Himalayan salt to taste
• Granulated garlic to taste
• Black pepper to taste
• 1 package Alfalfa sprouts or broccoli sprouts
Dressing for Alfalfa sprouts:
• ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
• 4 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon dry parsley
• 3 tablespoons honey
• 1 tablespoon mustard
Preheat the grill to high and cook burgers until internal temperature reach 165F.
In a mixing bowl whisk together oil, lemon juice, salt, parsley, honey and mustard until well blended.
Mix dressing into sprouts.
Serve turkey burgers with your favorite condiments or with homemade mayo from Elena and lemon honey dressed sprouts.
