Summer Sorbet Cake
This cake I decided to make just to surprise my family. It is very hot outside and the sorbet is one of the best dessert for the hot weekend days. It is also very easy to make which I always like in my cooking and it is very colorful and delicious. The three layers of the different sorbet give this dessert a very nice touch. You should try it to!
• 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
• 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
different color Jelly Belly or hard candies for decorating
Bake two 9″ inch round biscuit according to the instruction on the box. Cool it completely then slice each biscuit diagonally .
Cover spring cake form with plastic and place one of the biscuit layers on the bottom. Spoon soft orange sorbet on top of the biscuit and level it with the spatula. Place another biscuit and cover with the lime sorbet. Repeat with another biscuit and the raspberry sorbet then cover it with the last piece of the biscuit. Cover plastic over the cake and freeze it for at least two hours.
Before serving, top the cake with frosting made with the whipping cream and sugar and decorate with Jelly Belly or hard candies. Enjoy!
