Sesame Seeds Carrots
This recipe I found in one of my Russian cooking shows and it impressed me by its simplicity and the amount of time that the Russian Chef spent in the kitchen preparing all the necessary ingredients.
I decide to try this recipe and modified a few things: I used honey instead of sugar and I added less sesame oil because I learned from my previous experience that sesame oil has a very strong flavor which not many people like.
After all of my changes this recipe came out perfect!
My family absolutely fell in love with the tangy sweet honey carrots which can compliment any meal.
For 4 servings you will need:
• 4-5 medium size carrots thin sliced in strips
• 4 tablespoons of orange juice
• 4 tablespoons of olive oil
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 tablespoon honey
• A pinch of Pink Himalayan salt
• 1 table spoon sesame seeds
Preheat a large skillet on high. Combine orange juice, olive oil, sesame oil, honey and pink Himalayan salt in the mixing bowl.
Add thin sliced carrots into skillet and cook for about 1 minute then add orange juice and oil mixture and cook for another 4 minutes until carrots become soft.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve it together with your favorite meat!
